NeuroKinetic Therapy® & Ashiatsu Massage
NeuroKinetic Therapy®(NKT), also known as Neuromuscular Reprogramming®(NMR), is an innovative manual therapy method that uses manual muscle testing to assess and correct dysfunctions in the brain's coordination system. This therapy session offers a unique blend of treatments, including Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy, myofascial cupping (when necessary), and NeuroKinetic Therapy. It is grounded in a neurofunctional and kinesiological understanding of bodywork, involving a comprehensive analysis of the body's layers and using manual muscle testing to identify imbalances within the musculoskeletal system. Specifically, we assess which muscles or structures in any kinetic chain are either overactive (over-facilitated) or underactive (inhibited).
When certain muscles or structures fail to adequately support the musculoskeletal system, others are forced to overcompensate, leading to imbalances. These imbalances can result from various factors, including overuse, stress, past or current trauma, acute or chronic pain, poor breathing mechanics, or dysfunctional movement patterns. A critical aspect of our therapy is identifying these compensation patterns through manual muscle testing. However, it's important to recognize that some patterns may be secondary or tertiary responses to a deeper issue. Our primary objective is to identify and treat the 'prime driver' of these compensation patterns. By focusing on the root cause, we often see secondary and tertiary issues resolve themselves, allowing the central nervous system to re-establish balance and proper function.

Esalen® Massage
Immerse yourself in the profoundly integrative experience of Esalen Massage, a practice that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit through mindful touch and fluid, long strokes. This presence-based approach utilizes a variety of techniques and theories, working 'with' the body rather than 'on' it. By melding classic Swedish massage with sensory awareness practices and the slow, flowing movements of T'ai Chi, Esalen Massage is renowned for its soothing, long, integrating strokes. This creates an experience of deep relaxation, supporting the body's natural ability to self-heal.
